Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service apply when you use the Secure Memories website, contact us, schedule a consultation, or purchase services from Secure Memories. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

Services

Secure Memories provides concierge photo digitization, organization, pickup, delivery, and related archive services. Specific services, timelines, deliverables, and pricing are confirmed in writing before work begins.

Customer Responsibilities

You agree that you have the right to submit the materials you provide and that the materials do not violate another person's rights. You are responsible for identifying any fragile, rare, confidential, or unusually valuable items before service begins.

Handling of Originals

We handle original photographs and documents with care, but older physical materials can be fragile. Some materials may already have damage, fading, adhesive residue, brittleness, or other age-related conditions. We may decline to scan materials we believe cannot be safely handled.

Digital Files and Delivery

Final digital files are delivered using the agreed method, such as USB drive, local handoff, or optional cloud delivery. You are responsible for maintaining your own backup copies after delivery.

Payments, Estimates, and Cancellations

Estimates are based on the information available at the time they are provided. Final pricing may change if the collection size, condition, scope, or requested deliverables change. Cancellation, deposit, and payment terms may be stated in your written estimate or invoice.

No Guarantee of Restoration

Digitization can preserve and improve access to memories, but it cannot guarantee restoration of lost detail, correction of all damage, or prevention of future loss. Restoration or advanced editing, when offered, may be quoted separately.

Website Content

Website text, branding, images, and design elements are owned by Secure Memories or used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them without written consent.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Secure Memories is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability for a service issue will not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
